Prodia OHI opens OH Branch in Bahodopi, Morowali

Morowali, July 17, 2024 – PT Prodia Occupational Health Indonesia opened a healthcare service branch in Bahodopi Village, Morowali District, Central Sulawesi. The Sehat Berkah Clinic (managed by Prodia OHI) is a collaboration between PT Prodia OHI and a clinic of the same name that has been operating in Bahodopi since July 7, 2022, and PT. Prodia Widyahusada, Tbk, a related company under the same group, PT. Prodia Utama.

Morowali Regency is known to have significant natural resource potential, particularly in the nickel mining and energy industries. This area is a hub for investment in the nickel smelter industry, which plays a vital role in the regional economy. Currently, more than 62,000 workers are employed by companies operating in and around Bahodopi District. Therefore, sound occupational health management in this region is crucial to ensuring a healthy and productive workforce, as this is an essential element in ensuring sustainable economic growth.

Also present at the inauguration of the Sehat Berkah Clinic (managed by Prodia OHI) were the Head of the Morowali Regency Health Office, Mr. Ashar Ma'aruf, SE., M.Si., and Apt. Maseing, S. Farm, representing the Sehat Berkah Clinic.

"More health clinics will facilitate access to health services for the public in Bahodopi," said the Head of the Health Office in his remarks. He also explained that the services provided by the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) are currently limited, despite the diverse health problems in Bahodopi. Some of the most common health problems include HIV, tuberculosis, and acute respiratory infections (ARI).

To support this clinic service, Prodia OHI provides a number of adequate examination facilities such as: X-ray equipment with Digital Radiography, which can support ILO Radiograph examinations which are useful in systematically assessing radiographic abnormalities in the chest triggered by dust inhalation (pneumoconiosis)), electrocardiography (ECG), Treadmill, Spirometry, Audiometry equipment, as well as clinical laboratory equipment managed by the Prodia Clinical Laboratory.
